The piano music of

John Sciullo

One of the hidden benefits of my profession is the opportunity to meet and participate in a small way to the music of some of the most gifted and imaginative pianists in the area. Occasionally an artist comes along who demonstrates the passion and keyboard mastery worthy of world-class recognition. John Sciullo adds a refreshing balance of sensitivity, dexterity and space to create dramatic musical statements.

John has been trained by some of the instruments greatest forces, including the incomparable Maestro Vladimir Horowitz. To weave a captivating musical fabric brimming with life, he takes advantage of his formidable foundation of musical training and his innate ability to spontaneously compose (even while performing).

I find his music to be quite engaging, capturing your interest without the demands of a technique driven performer. All of his CDs offer a refreshing breathes of romance, mystery and dreams.

Many of you may recognize him as a frequent on air guest at WQED-FM or through recent performances with the Butler Symphony and the Carnegie Science Center.

Locally his music can be purchased at Barnes & Noble at the Waterworks Mall, Curtain Call (the Pittsburgh Symphony Store, across from Heinz Hall), and at A. T. Merhaut’s store on Route 8, Gibsonia. A taste of his music, purchase and other information on John can be found at his website:

If you are looking for a legitimate contribution to the music library in your home or a stimulating shot in the arm to your own music appreciation, I suggest you consider getting to know this gentleman and his music.
